Wellbeing
Wellbeing is one of the six strategic research focus areas at Savonia University of Applied Sciences.
We provide research, development, and innovation (RDI) services to meet the needs of the social and health care sector and actively collaborate with the North Savo wellbeing services county, municipalities, higher education institutions, as well as companies and organizations.
We are an active partner in the Kuopio Health ecosystem, through which we are strongly networked with regional wellbeing sector actors.
In line with its value promise, the Wellbeing Research Area aims to develop sustainable and smart solutions to meet the future needs of both individual and community wellbeing.

We evaluate the applicability of wellbeing technology to health care and help companies in different stages of product development.
These supporting activities are offered by, for example, Savonia’s XR-Center.
